Nov 07, 2012 Windows 8 64-Bit Here's other similar drivers that are different versions or releases for different operating systems: VIA VX11 HDMI Audio Driver for Windows XP 1.3.
The former can be quite difficult and time-consuming. This is also why we recommend opting for a reliable program to do all the hard work. Let us show you how complicated the process is when you choose to manually update your drivers. You must uninstall the drivers via the Device Manager.
To do this, right-click the Windows icon on your taskbar. Select Device Manager from the menu. Once Device Manager is up, locate the Sound, Video and Game Controllers option, then expand its contents. Right-click the VIA HD drivers, then select Uninstall. After uninstalling the drivers, restart your computer. The next thing you must do is go to VIA’s website and look for the latest versions of the drivers.
Make sure that the one you choose is compatible with your PC’s system. Download the drivers, then install them. It is worth noting that if you download the incorrect drivers, you might cause more problems to your computer. So, why risk it when there’s a more effective and convenient solution? When you use Auslogics Driver Updater, the tool will search for the latest and compatible manufacturer-recommended drivers for your system. What’s more, this program will fix all problematic drivers in your PC—not just the ones related to the sound issues.
So, once the process is complete, you can expect your computer to deliver a better and faster performance. Method 2: Changing the default settings of your speakers If you’ve tried updating your drivers and that doesn’t resolve the issue, you can try modifying your speakers’ default settings.
You can do that by following these steps:. Right-click the Sound icon in the bottom right of your taskbar. Select Playback Devices from the list. Once the Sound window is up, right-click the Speakers icon, then select Properties from the options.
Go to the Advanced tab, then click the drop-down list under the Default Format section. Select any 16-bit option. Save the change by clicking Apply and OK. By now, your audio should be working fine. If the issue persists, try repeating the process, then select a different 16-bit option. Another key thing to remember is that this solution is applicable to your microphone. You can follow a similar process:.
On your taskbar, right-click the Sound icon. Select Playback Devices, then go to the Recording tab.
Right-click the microphone, then select Properties from the options. Go to the Advanced tab, then choose any 16-bit option under the Default Format section. Save the change by clicking Apply and OK. Keep in mind that this is just a workaround, and this might not be the best solution to permanently get rid of the problem. However, several users confirmed that this had worked for them. I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 and needed to install the audio manager (as the first time I loaded the computer, the audio playback was echoing like hell). I've installed the most recent driver for it and the program itself works. However I've lost the functions to use the sound equalizer and the environment modelling features. No matter if I click 'enable', none of it works.
Is there anyway round I can get it working, or is this a matter of waiting for VIA to release any updates? I have ASUS S400CA with VIA sound system.
I also had a problem mic not working. I have uninstalled drivers of VIA from device manager audio inputs and outputs and also from sound, video and game controllers. Microsoft installed drivers while rebooting. Now every thing works fine. Sadly however, it's still not working for me. I've uninstalled everything that is associated with VIA and rebooted the computer. Let the computer install needed drivers/updates and whatnot.
I then installed the latest drivers (based on what I've been reading from other sources and websites), which now the program itself won't open. It's rather annoying because the speakers I used can sometimes give off way too much bass and I need to use the environment modelling and the sound equalizers to balance it out. Sorry for the long reply, internet issues:P. But I've emailed the manufacturer of the driver and they emailed me back, saying that they will release an updated driver for windows 10, though it won't be right away.of course VIA won't release updated audio drivers for Win10 right away, xJoeeFTW. What did you expect? They're slow and hasn't had any info about any Windows 10 driver downloads. However, you could try that was recently posted on a third party download site.
It's version 6.0.11.1000 and seems to have an updated version of VDeck that might work on Windows 10. Hello, the driver was release today. You can find it at: You have to click on 'Drivers or support package' and select Windows10 32/64 bit. Everything works fine for me (subwoofer, speaker, headphone.) I installed that and I'm still not getting anything to work, much less get the program to work, even if I ran it as administrator.
EDIT: I got the control panel open, however I still can't use any of its functions, like the sound modeling and the equalizer to work. Additionally I'm unable to get sounds to play off the headphones and the speakers at the same time.
